Bring in the Bombers
Iraq is like Nick at Nite. It's all repeats, but you can't help but watch.
This week's episode brings back the bombers. The UK used them in suppressing Iraqis back in the 20's and 30's. Now the US has had to turn to air power to suppress the dusky peoples who don't really appreciate what a burden they are on the fairer races, what what.
When a nation has to initiate airstrikes against resistance, it has lost the battle for the hearts and minds of the people it's supposedly trying to help. Governments should not be in the business of social engineering, but because the US is in the business of catering to the very rich and the corporations they own, it winds up in the business of social engineering. What a shame the normal Americans don't realize they don't have to settle for that lot. They can vote for independent candidates - ANY independents - and get rid of the Republocrats who are bought and paid for by the upperest of upper classes.
Until then, it's reruns for the next 5-10 years in Iraq, maybe longer.
Have fun.
